FRIDAY NIGHT SMOKO
An
excellent night! The Clubrooms were decked out in
Metro colours with a fantastic arch of Red & Black
balloons. There was memorabillia from over the years,
trophy's, jackets, playing tops, along with a special
display of team and individual photographs.
We
had a full house, with a large number who travelled from
overseas, plus all over
New
Zealand
. There were those who recognised each
other straight away, for some of us it took a second look
and maybe a first name to catch on!!
METRO CLUB DAY
Sadly,
the Saturday playing day was a rain out and although we
didn't get games played and the Nesquik Bunny stayed dry in
his hutch, we did proceed with the Player of the Month
presentations. So there was a good turn out, the
young, the not so young, the old and the very old with
another opportunity to catch up.
JUBILEE DINNER
What
can we say, it was an Awesomely, Fantastic, Brilliant,
Excellent evening.
The
Jubilee Committee excelled themselves dressing up the tables
with gold painted playing equipment and the transfer of the
Club memorabillia from the Clubrooms to the venue. They also brought the current Metro look into play and had
the Bar Staff wearing the current Metro playing top!

GOLF
DAY & WINE TRAIL
Sandy
(Min) Brunton and Ron Riley organised two great events, which
were greatly enjoyed by those that participated. The
Committee extend them both a big thank you.
We
are still able to organise merchandise for Club members,
past and present, plus we have a small stock the Jubilee
Books.
